Bio

Lucero Vallenata is a Riohacha-based four-person vallenato group fronted by singer and button-accordion player Lucero Ariza. Álvaro Ipuana’s caja and Daniela Brito’s guacharaca keep the rhythmic frame clear, with newly added bassist Tomás Ortega grounding the arrangement. The stories are specific and direct: a name remembered on a bus ride, a family courtyard, a promise carried between towns. Lucero’s voice and accordion share the lead, so the instrument answers the story instead of covering it. Cobalt clothes, warm daylight and the complete working ensemble anchor the imagery.
