Bio

Hoài Vân Bolero is the stage identity of Mai Thu Vân, a Cần Thơ-based Vietnamese bolero singer. Nylon-string guitarist Lê Quang Huy and bassist Nguyễn Thanh Hà form the permanent trio around her voice. Clear Vietnamese diction, restrained vibrato and unhurried phrasing keep the story close, with the accompaniment supporting rather than filling every space. Jade and cream, domestic details and river-town rooms shape the visual identity. The repertoire centres on memory, distance and ordinary acts of care, expressed through specific images instead of grand theatrical gestures.
