Behind the project is Kenji Sato, a former game sound designer who scores soundtracks for consoles that never existed, running authentic 8-bit hardware and Game Boy circuitry through a haze of lo-fi hip-hop. The result is nostalgia you can nod off to: pixel-warm melodies, dusty tape hiss and beats built for late-night save points.
