Bio

Bachata a Dos is a four-piece bachata group rooted in Santiago de los Caballeros and New York. Camila Abreu and Mateo Taveras trade the two sides of a relationship: what was said, what was meant, and what remains after the last dance. Camila’s requinto lines answer the vocals, while Yolanda de León’s bass and Darío Polanco’s dry percussion keep the songs close to the floor. The identity is intimate and conversational, with Spanish hooks that can stand on their own before the duet reveals the other side.
